U.S. Alcohol Spending Continues to Rise

According to a report published in Wine Businessthe United States continues to spend more on alcohol with an increase of 3.8 percent in the past year, bringing the total U.S. consumer spending on alcohol beverages to almost $230 billion in the past 12 months.

The rise in overall consumer spending is due to consumer product selection as opposed to consuming a higher quantity of alcohol. Craft beers, spirits and expensive wines are more popular than ever across the nation.

Let's Do Brunch, New York

Cocktails during brunch in New York just got a whole lot easier after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law that eases a decades old rule.

The 'Brunch Bill' is designed to modernize the 80-year-old Alcoholic Beverage Control Law by allowing restaurants and bars to begin selling alcoholic drinks two hours earlier at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.

The bill will also authorize the sales of wine in growlers and reduce fees for small craft distributors.

Tin Whiskers Brewing Company is a microbrewery and taproom located in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. The brewery was founded in May 2014 by three electrical engineers who combined their skilled backgrounds and passion for great beer to come up with a truly unique brand.

Tin Whiskers is a local, open source craft brewery on a mission to make technically excellent beer. Their goal is to engage and give back to the community by sharing an inside look at opening and operating a craft brewery.

In addition to brewing, Tin Whiskers also self-distributes 1/2bbl and 1/6bbl kegs of their Wheatstone Bridge, Flipswitch IPA, Ampere Amber, and Short Circuit Stout to local bars and restaurants in the Twin Cities Area.

"Being a microbrewery that self distributes using Fintech has taken a huge load off my delivery driver with him not needing to wait around for a check which allows him to get more deliveries done in a day."
