J.J. Taylor's New Facility Shines Light on Solar Energy

Florida beer distributor J.J.Taylor is building a new state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution facility in Fort Myers. What's different about this new building? J.J. Taylor is building the largest solar rooftop in the state of Florida. The rooftop will provide 90% of the facility's power and dramatically lessen the use of electricity for the distributorship.

Solar rooftops are not the only way J.J. Taylor is working to better the community and environment - their beer trucks run on natural gas!

FDA's New Regulations for Food Transport Exclude Alcohol Beverages

On April 5, 2016, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced final promulgation and issuance of a new food safety rule under the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) that governs the transportation of food. The new rule on Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food, which goes into effect either one or two years following official publication depending on the size of the regulated business, will require those involved in transporting human and animal food by motor or rail vehicle to follow recognized best practices for sanitary transportation, such as properly refrigerating food, adequately cleaning vehicles between loads and properly protecting food during transportation.
